Chris Rosas founded the "Percussion Homies Project" with an informal approach aimed at facilitating discussions with percussion graduate students to college professors and everything in between. Chris envisioned discussions that go beyond drums, delving into the personal identities of percussionists and the challenges they faced in becoming who they are. 

The project hosts casual yet insightful conversations tailored to each guest, covering a wide range of topics such as new music, percussion research, balancing family and work life, navigating festivals, global travel experiences, the journey to endorsement or becoming a signature artist, and so much more.

It distinguishes itself from traditional pedagogical podcasts by fostering an informal atmosphere where personal stories and experiences take center stage. The term "Homies" encapsulates the project's vibe of camaraderie, aiming to encourage guests to candidly share their unique journeys.
